Allegations of Israeli war crimes, luridly illustrated by obscene photos, have been plastered all over the Web and featured in Arab and European media, neglecting the very real war crimes of the Lebanese government sponsored racist Hezbollah Jihadist terrorist organization. As usual, the Middle East rumor mill is at work. It is fed in part by the "innocent" Lebanese government that the United States is trying so hard to protect. The rumors claim that Israel is using forbidden weapons such as phosphorus incendiary bombs to deliberately target civilians. One rumor claims that bodies of victims were "grey" and didn't exhibit any wounds, implying the use use of chemical poisons. There is no evidence that any of this is true, and none has been presented.
As Sever Plocker notes, European media are doing a rerun of the Jenin massacre canard
...one gets a picture that Beirut has been destroyed at least as badly as Dresden was during the Second World War. Foreign television channels use one section of footage over and over, showing the destruction of one neighborhood in south Beirut, to "show" what has happened throughout the city.
The most worrying thing about the current anti-Israel wave is its' global scope: Leaders and opinion makers around Latin America, for example, have denounced Israel in some of the strongest terms imaginable. The UN Human Rights Commission has joined the chorus, as have international law organizations, cinema types, even journalists.
Actually Israel destroyed about 50 buildings in the Shi'a neighborhood of Beirut, Dahye, that served as the headquarters of the Hezbollah. That is the footage shown on your TV screens by unprofessional and biased media people. Destruction of the World Trade Center in New York, two large buildings, killed nearly 3,000 people. In 50 multistory buildings, we can assume there would be at least 10,000 people. Yet in the entire Lebanese war, in all of Lebanon, about 360 Lebanese casualties have been reported, of which about half are Hezbollah terrorists. While one dead kid is one too many, this is not evidence that Israel is targeting civilians. On the contrary. Israel leafleted every place where it bombed in advance, telling civilians to leave. This destroyed the advantage of surprise, and allowed Hezbollah to escape, but it saved many thousands of lives. The photo of a person who may have been sleeping near a rocket that exploded when bombed is not pretty, but it doesn't show that Israel is committing war crimes. Israel bombed a truck carrying rockets in Beirut. A long range Iranian-supplied Zilzal rocket launched itself and then landed. This event was recorded by Lebanese television, because the photographers thought the Hezbollah downed an F-16. Nonetheless, despite this truck full of rockets in the middle of Beirut, Lebanese continue to claim that Beirut is "innocent." Who knows where this rocket landed, and what its victims looked like afterwards? No doubt there were other such cases, all attributed to Zionist war crimes.
The IDF has been given a near - impossible task in Lebanon: to destroy the Hezbollah without harming the civilians. It is impossible to separate Hezbollah from other Lebanese. They locate their bases and headquarters in civilian residential areas, and store their rockets in villages. They launch their rockets from civilian areas, and they use civilian trucks to transport them. Israel has not developed a Nasrallah seeking missile or a Hezbollah seeking missile. Hezbollah violates international law by using civilians as shields, so it is impossible to destroy their rocket launchers and rocket stores without harming any civilians.
IDF leaflets target areas extensively before bombing them, warning people to leave, but Hezbollah prevents civilians from leaving.
The Hezbollah use the city of Tyre as a base for launching their missiles at Haifa, making it impossible to dislodge them without harming civilians:
Israel has also not succeeded in explaining to the world the problem stemming from Tyre and the blitz against Haifa originating there. International newspapers published a photograph of 82 Lebanese coffins on their front pages, and Hezbollah claimed that each coffin held the body of a Lebanese killed by Israel. This may be, but it also may be not. However, do the readers know where the rockets fired against Haifa are coming from?
In one known case, a bomb struck a basement and killed those inside. Later, it turned out that of the 32 casualties, mostly dead, 11 were armed Hezbollah militants. The basement served Hezbollah and civilians that sought cover. In the current fighting there is no alternative but to convince the citizens of the city to leave, and make it easy to do so. But it is unclear whether Hezbollah will allow the evacuation of civilians from Tyre.
Israeli PM Ehud Olmert complained bitterly that media are distorting the facts of the war:
The massive, brutal and murderous viciousness of Hezbollah is unfortunately not represented in its full intensity on television screens outside of Israel..."
"A twisted image is presented, where the victim is presented as an aggressor."
Israelis are of course subject to hours of trucks fighting fires, weeping relatives of victims and footage of damage caused by the various rockets that Iran has supplied to Hezbollah. Use of these rockets is a war crime because they could not possibly be accurate enough to target any military facilities. The rockets have hit a hospital, a post office, a grandma and her grandson, Arabs as well as Jews. Moreover, they are filled with little balls from roller-bearings. When the rockets explode, these are impelled in all directions with tremendous force. They make holes in steel and cement and in people. The victims of these forbidden terror weapons do not look pretty. However, atrocity photos such as those shown of Lebanese, are not easy to come by for Israeli victims. Jewish law and Israeli custom forbids such invasion of privacy and desecration of the dead.
Below is our "atrocity photo." It is a steel door that has been perforated by the diabolical ball bearings of the Hezbollah rockets. Imagine that that door is a person, and you get an idea of what these rockets do. There are hundreds of wounded people who have been perforated in this way.
Below is a "finished product" of the Hezbollah terror industry:
Multiply the above by 300 or more, add the 17 or more people that were killed, and you get an idea of what is happening in northern Israel. Here, by the way is a picture of a "military target" that the Hezbollah hit:
Here is a picture of a "Zionist" who was killed by a Hezbollah rocket:
He was a wonderful man we are told, a quiet and friendly man, and a good provider. His name was "Haviv" -- likable -- and so he was. He was Habib Awad, an Arab citizen of Israel.
More photos of rocket damage are here.. If you are looking for lots of blood, you will be disappointed. We do not have pictures showing any Israeli dead after they died, and we will not dishonor them by showing what they looked like when the Hezbollah got done with them.
The pictures of Israeli "atrocities" shown on various Web sites could be anyone - Hezbollah terrorists or auto accident victims (a photo like that was faked by Palestinians at least once). They have no names. Each Israeli victim is a real person who was really an innocent civilian killed by Hezbolla rockets. They all have names. You can ask their neighbors about them. Jewish or Arab, young or old, we honor their memory and will not make a spectacle of their martyrdom and the misery and grief of their loved ones. They are all heroes of Israel and they are all dear to us and to their families. Let the ghouls and war mongers of the other side spread atrocity stories and shame their dead.

HITLER, Wednesday, August 2nd
I am black, but regardless of my colour my support goes to Israel. Israel has the right to defend herself. Israel is surrounded by enemies that are determined to wipe her out. We thank God that Israel has armed herself to the teeth, as her very existence depends on her ability to defend herself and her citizens. Long live Israel, Long live the Jews. The Islamic people are only capitalising on the popularity of the media, and using it as a means to paint Israel black to the whole world. The Arabs are the true ers. The Arabs are the true ists. The Arabs are the true pro dists. At the end, the truth will prevail, and Israel will WIN at the end.
I support Israel, and I advice the Islamists, that they should renounce immediately.

This one cannot be won by military means. Each death brings more hatred and the cycle of violence continues.A cease-fire and comprehensive negotiations are urgently needed ( no good one side blaming the other - atrocious acts have been unleashed from both sides).
For those of us who love children then it seems to me that the harm to an Arab or a Jewish child is still damage to the innocents of humanity. I am at a loss at to why President Bush does not do the decent and humane thing and call for an immediate cease-fire. Or maybe decency and humanity are characteristics that some have deep in their beings and others....well ....just look and decide for yourselves:-

As a retired military man and a Vietnam Vetran I know the horrors of war. I also know good and evil: Israel is good!
Keep going, unconditional surrender is the only answer. My prayers are with your military and civilians alike.

Juat a short note to express my solidarity with the citizens of Israel in their struggle against islamo-fascism. As a former socialist it now disgusts me to see those on the left in Britain vent their disgusting anti-semitism more and more blatantly. It becomes ever harder for people like myself who are pro israeli to find any sort of balanced reporting on Israel at the best of times never mind at present.
Carry on with the good work and keep telling the truth!
