Earlier we reported that the BBC may be forced to release an internal report by Malcolm Balen
, detailing bias against Israel. Don't hold your breath. BBC will appeal to the High court, fighting the right of the British public to know the truth to the bitter end, with every resource provided to them by the British government and paid for by British taxpayers.
According to the Telegraph, BBC will take their case for silence and deception
to the High Court:
"We will be appealing the decision of the Information Tribunal," a spokesman said. "This case has wider implications relating to the way the Act applies to public broadcasters."
In their fearless quest to conceal the truth from the British public, the BBC will spare no expense.
In 2004 for example, a BBC correspondent, Barbara Plett, a Middle East correspondent, revealed in a report of Radio 4's From Our Own Correspondent that she had been moved to tears by the plight of the dying Yasser Arafat. Too bad she was not there to report her tender sentiments on the demise of Mr. Hitler as well. That was hardly the worst of it. BBC has provided objectively incorrect "information" as part of what are supposed to be objective news materials. Incorrect maps, deliberately biased descriptions and irrelevant anti-Israel "background" text are deliberately inserted into reports about Israel, while pertinent information is omitted because it is not favorable to the Arab cause. What they cover, and how they cover it, is determined by considerations of political and racial bias, rather than by standards of professional journalism. Those who blow up subways in Britain are "terrorists" according to BBC. Those who blow up discotheques in Israel are "militants."
This is not the first time that the BBC has led campaigns to shield its listeners from the truth. For a long period in the 1930s, the BBC deliberately suppressed the alarmist views of a "warmongering" MP concerning increasing militarism and anti-Semitism in a certain European state. Then as now, the BBC conspired with "fashionable" and "authoritative" opinion (now called "Politically Correct") to paint a false picture of reality, a policy that had the most calamitous results for Great Britain and the world. Later, this same MP was to redeem the honor of the British people and the BBC. He became the star broadcaster of the BBC everywhere in Europe, under much altered and tragic circumstances. He was Winston Spencer Churchill. Throughout Nazi occupied Europe, the BBC became synonymous with truth and hope, thanks to him. The glory days are gone, however, and the BBC has returned to its former ways.
A separate leaked report reveals systematic cultural bias in the BBC:
One veteran BBC executive said: 'There was widespread acknowledgement that we may have gone too far in the direction of political correctness.
'Unfortunately, much of it is so deeply embedded in the BBC's culture, that it is very hard to change it.'
Washington correspondent Justin Webb said that the BBC is so biased against America that deputy director general Mark Byford had secretly agreed to help him to 'correct', it in his reports. Webb added that the BBC treated America with scorn and derision and gave it 'no moral weight'.
Former BBC business editor Jeff Randall said he complained to a 'very senior news executive', about the BBC's pro-multicultural stance...
Quoting a George Orwell observation, Randall said that the BBC was full of intellectuals who 'would rather steal from a poor box than stand to attention during God Save The King'.

The report relates that a humorous political satire show would have allowed throwing the bible into a trash bin, but not the Qur'an, for fear of offending Muslims. "We are not amused."
However, the entertainment content of the BBC is a matter of artistic judgement. The editorial position of the BBC would be defensible as their legitimate if misguided opinion, were they not a corporation that supposedly represents the British public. What is inexcusable, even if the BBC were to become a wholly private news service, is the intrusion of their position into supposedly objective news reports, and the systematic and obdurate campaign the BBC is carrying on to silence criticism, suppress the truth, and prevent desperately needed reform.
How sad it is when a news organization, once respected for its commitment to the truth and the highest standards of journalistic professionalism, fights with the tenacity and bravery of Kitchener, the eloquence of Disraeli and the financial resources of the British public, to uphold the right to lie.
