He also accused the Zionists of "beating" Orthodox Jews in Jerusalem. His remarks were made outside the U.S. Naval Academy, on Randall Street, near Gate I, close to the waterfront, in this port city. Christison is a known anti-Semite and Neturei Karta are a tiny sect of anti Zionist Jews - but their videos and similar ones dominate the Youtube offerings on Zionism. Why? Because Zionists don't make videos about Zionism! An older film, featuring an interview with an ant-Zionist Rabbi, has attracted over 218,000 viewers. It's about to get worse. Google is trying to implement a "universal search" through its Onebox technology. When you search for Zionism in the regular Web search, Google drops a video box there. Last time I looked, one video about Zionism shown on that page was from the "TurntoIslam" Web site, and the other was a tirade about the "Israel Lobby."

We can't do much about how Google does business. We can make sure that there are a a reasonable quantity of video materials on the Web that are labeled "Zionism" and "Israel" which tell the story of Israel and Zionism fairly. Film distributors, government agencies and non-government Zionist organizations have thousands of hours of wonderful film footage that can be edited into dozens of brief or slightly longer films about Zionism and about Israel. Please, when you make these films, pay attention to quality of audio and video and make them engaging. There are some very well-meaning efforts on YouTube that sound like they were filmed at the end of a long tunnel or in a propeller-driven aircraft. And when you post the film to Youtube, be sure "Zionism" or "Israel" is in the title.
