Operation Gazelle - Israeli Suez Canal Crossing Part I

In the latter stages of the war in Sinai, Israel planned and executed the crossing of the Suez Canal behind the Egyptian third army, eventually surrounding the Third Army from the rear and cutting it off from its supply bases. Contrary to popular belief, most of the crossing was carried out by generals Adan and Magen, because Sharon was not trusted.
